Version 1.3.1 
I have installed version 1.3.1 but nothing now happens when I try to run 12Pay. Any ideas please?

Hmmm, no-one else has reported that problem, and we mailshotted thousands of users in the last few days. Can you try de-installing and re-installing it?

When you say "nothing happens", do you mean that there is literally no reaction to double clicking on the icon? That would be most odd.

Yes I've just tried that and it's still the same.

When I double click the egg timer appears and then disappears.

Out of interest, could you try installing this version.

If that doesn't work could you send us a phone number?

Just in case, have you installed Spyware Doctor on your PC recently? That stops our software from running...

I've tried reinstalling version 1.2.9 and its still the same, so its obviously not the 12Pay software. I use F-Secure for security and I can't see anything obvious in there.

It may be interesting to load Event Viewer:

Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Event Viewer

And look in the Application folder of EV to see if there are entries with a source of "12Pay" or ".Net Runtime" dated and timed as you try to run 12Pay.... If there are then double click on them, and show us the text of the event.

It turned out that F-Secure is being overzealous, and blocking 12Pay without even saying anything... Essentially a bug in F-Secure if it stops apps without making it clear that it is acting to do so.

We found the following advice on the bulletin board of a different application that has been hit with the same issue:

It's not difficult to fix the problem though; just go into Properties on F-Secure, then Real-time Protection, check the Exclude objects option, and select the 12Pay.exe and add it to the list of files to exclude the scanning of.

(text in above quote altered to apply to 12Pay rather than the original application)

I'm using F-Secure Internet Security 2007 and a new installation of 12Pay seems to change the Application System Control from Allow to Deny.

The answer in F-Secure is not that obvious but is as follows :-

Go into  Virus & Spy Protection   then Real Time Scanning   then System Control   then Applications

and change 12Pay from Deny to Allow

Everything now seems to be working OK.

As ever thanks for your prompt responses, how I wish that all Support desks were as good.
