Hi. I have an employee who has been claiming SMP since April. The system has her leave start date as 20/04/09 and I have had no problem up until December 09. According to the Explanation, she has now (01/12/09) reached 26 weeks and is therefore not entitled to any further SMP.

From my rambling research on the BusinessLink website, my employee is entitled to 39 weeks in total, not 32.

Is this right? What am I doing wrong?

Rob

Rob, I don't know what you're doing wrong, but the software will certainly pay 39 weeks SMP.

Hard to guess what the problem might be, but check that you've actually extended the SMP absence.

If you can't work it out send a backup of your file (File/Backup) as an attachment to support@12pay.co.uk explaining which employee you want us to take a look at and we'll work it out for you.
