Please could you tell us if there are plans to provide the facility to make monthly return submissions online. This will become a requirement for many employers, next week, and it would be useful to be able to do this through 12Pay, instead of having to go through HMRC's unwieldy website.

Michael, I'm not sure what you're referring to. You can't submit the P32 online. The only thing that you need to do each month is send Cumbernauld/Shipley the money. At the moment HMRC doesn't offer 3rd party software vendors any interface for it so we have literally no way of doing that. The simplest way of paying HMRC each month (in our opinion) is to set them up as a payee in your internet banking software (if you have it) and just login to your banking software each month and make the payment. Make the payee reference your 13-character accounts office reference.

Thanks for the reply. My question wasn't all that clear.

I meant the P32 information which goes on the payslip from the yellow booklet; my main concern was filing nil returns, actually.

But you've answered my question with the fact that HMRC don't offer 3rd party software vendors such opportunities.

Thanks again.
