Hi

I'm trying to set up a CIS payroll and wondered if you could help please?

When I enter the gross payment, it calculates the CIS deduction correctly, so far so good! The HMRC website says that I should show the CIS Tax deducted amount on the deduction sheet I give to my subbie, but I can't get either of the CIS payslips to show it, only the paid amount.

I've entered the gross pay as CISPAY but not sure what I've done wrong. The only thing I'm not sure about was what Tax code to enter as the subbie is CIS only. I had to enter something to move on from that screen, so entered BR. Was that the problem and if so, what should i put in that field?

Please help!!

Many thanks

The tax code for CIS subcontractor doesn't matter. But we'd suggest in general NT is good.

You need to tick the "Subcontractor Payroll" tickbox on the payroll form. Or the treatment of CIS is different.

Once you've ticked that box go back to the contractor's current period tab and click the "Calculate" button to register the change.

CIS FAQ.

I had forgotten to actually calculate....

No more manual payslips for my subbies.

Thank you! Thank you!
