Hi again

I've set up the year's holidays which i've entered but the software doesn't seem to be taking bank holidays out of this (which are standard with this company). Do I have to enter the bank holidays as absences? or is there something i'm doing wrong.

also to make sure that holidays are showing up on the pay slip i'm altering the basic pay to hours actually worked and then adding a payment of holiday for those taken as holiday, is that right?

Regards

In your situation you may not need to actually record the holidays on the absence tab, because that only records days, not hours anyway, and they don't really tell you anything about entitlement. That screen is more for recording salaried employee holidays. But if you want to record them so that you have a record of days off then yes, you need to enter the bank holidays.

Your treatment of holiday hours for payslip purposes sounds exactly right. And those are the type of hours that show most helpfully on the annual hours summary report.
