Sorry - I have seen this question sometime in the past, but I can't find it now.

I am moving all my programs, including 12Pay, to a new pc, then deleting from the old.  Is the process the same as if I were registering for the first time?  Or can I copy from one to the other (the pc's are networked).

MoK,

Install the software itself as if you were installing for the first time.

Then if you're comfortable with PC folder and file admin you can directly copy the 12Pay folder from My Documents on the old PC to My Documents on the new PC.

And then start the software up and get it licenced via the licence form.

That was easier than I thought - straightforward, really!

Thank you.

My last mail was a little premature...

Having transferred the files, I have tried to advance the period I have just completed, in order to print a P45.

I have received the message: "You need a new release of 12Pay because you are trying to use a PAYE year that this release (version 1.4.7) does not know how to manage."

I've then tried the first 2 options presented, which both take me through the Set-up process.  Then I'm back to the first message again.

Your help would be appreciated.

A 4 week payroll by any chance?

If so then just ignore that message, which is a bug in the software, and click the "Continue" button. You don't need new software.

We're about to do a general mass-mail and a new release which amongst other things will stop that message from appearing in 4 week payrolls from week 16 onwards.

Yes, it's a 4-week.

Thanks again.
