Can I use 12Pay for my payroll bureau business?
Yes. our many practice and bureau clients have found the 12Pay payroll software very good at managing their client payrolls.
You will find the reconciliation report particularly useful for getting client approval for payroll runs, as it highlights all of the changes since last period. All the reports are produced as Adobe PDFs, which means that you can mail them to your clients and they can read them (and print them) without having to own their own copy of the payroll software.
Express Edition and Premium Edition users are limited to 3 registered companies. You can manage an unlimited number of companies with one licence on one PC by buying a Bureau licence which costs a total charge of £99.80/year. Larger practices should also multiply the Premium Edition licence cost by the number of extra PCs that they will be using to manage client payrolls. (so for example a second PC and member of staff operating payroll would cost an additional £54.90/year)
Feel free to call us on 0118 9546817 if you want to discuss using 12Pay for your payroll bureau.

Who needs a Bureau licence?
You need a Bureau licence if...
- You intend to manage the payrolls of more than 3 employers
- If any employer employs more than 30 employees
- You want to alter the watermark that appears at the bottom of reports to promote your business rather than 12Pay.
- You want any other bureau features listed on this page

How many employers am I allowed to manage on a Bureau licence?
We don't limit the number of employers that you can manage on a single Bureau licence. The largest 12Pay Bureau that we are aware of manages 350 employers.
But if you need more than one staff member to have access to our software (perhaps because one person cannot do all the work) you need to pay additionally the same price as a Premium licence for each addtional PC/person. Contact us if you need to do this and we'll send you an invoice for the additional users.

I run a bureau, what do I do if I don't want the watermark message promoting 12Pay on reports and payslips?
Buying a bureau licence allows you to alter that watermark message to text of your own choice, or to omit it entirely if you prefer

Can I start with a Premium licence and upgrade to a Bureau licence later?
Yes. If you buy a bureau licence before your premium licence expires you'll automatically be credited with the pro-rata cost of the remaining days of the premium licence. This calculation is shown on the "My 12Pay" page if you have an outstanding premium licence.
